Baker City, OR
Wearisome and carsick, we decided to stop at the pioneer museum in Baker City on our way home from Idaho. A short ways from the museum, a row of cars were perfectly lined up to be photographed. This row of cars were perfect for a photograph, and the clouds perfectly accented scene. Walking out into the field; I walked out into the field, used a 10-22mm, a neutral density gradient filter, and a polarizer, and took the 1/15th sec. shutter. The high contrast between the colorful cars, and bright blue skies adds to this photograph which is definitely one of my favorite shots.

Hagerman, Idaho
We drove the 12 hour drive to Hagerman, Idaho for our family reunion. Roughly 20 minutes before reaching our destination, I spotted on old rusted out car along the side of the road. Late and unable to stop; I was pinned against the window in anticipation. We arrived at the family reunion, but having seen the picture opportunity, I could not concentrate to hold any sort of conversation with the family. Seeing the dramatic overcast clouds, and perfect lighting, I pleaded with my mom and dad to drive me back to the car.
Having begged my parents, they finally agreed to take me back to this location, and chase the fading light. We arrived at the location,. and the cloud cover was perfect, and the overcast light perfectly saturated the rusted color of the car. Using a 10-22mm lens, two neutral density gradient filters, and a polarizer for saturation, I captured the picture shown above. The contrast in the reds of the rust, and the blue of the sky greatly adds to the photography. To me the car appeared to be speaking to me, and take on personified features, so I titles this image, "If Cars Could Talk".
